The situation surrounding the pharmaceutical company “PHARMACELL” LLC extends far beyond a corporate dispute between two entities. This was stated by political and military expert Kyrylo Sazonov.
According to information published in the media, law enforcement agencies are investigating the alleged illegal alienation of property rights of “NIKO” LLC. Within the framework of a criminal proceeding, searches have already been conducted, and some documents have been seized. At the same time, “PHARMACELL” emphasizes that this is a corporate-economic dispute, and all transactions were carried out based on contracts and were properly executed.
Kyrylo Sazonov emphasized that the case is indicative of the Ukrainian business climate.
Sazonov noted that the court must provide a final assessment of the circumstances, but stressed the need to receive answers to a number of important questions. Specifically, why did claims regarding property rights arise almost ten years after the parties’ cooperation ended, and how proportionate are the procedural actions concerning an enterprise that manufactures medicinal products.

He also drew attention to the fact that “PHARMACELL” provides employment for over 200 workers, possesses dozens of registered drugs, and maintains a continuous cycle of production and supply of medicines to the healthcare system. In his opinion, law enforcement activities should not create risks for the operations of such enterprises without urgent necessity.

Separately, Sazonov emphasized that this case is indicative of the Ukrainian business climate. According to him, entrepreneurs and potential investors evaluate not only the norms of legislation but also the practice of their application. If corporate conflicts are accompanied by criminal proceedings, searches, and seizure of documents from operating manufacturers, this can negatively impact the country’s investment attractiveness.
“Is the Ukrainian state capable of simultaneously ensuring a fair investigation, protecting property rights, the uninterrupted operation of critical enterprises, and investor confidence? Much depends on the answer,” Sazonov concluded.
