The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that another man died in the hospital from wounds sustained three days prior, on July 24th, as a result of the strike on the “Armada” drone exhibition. The deceased was a diplomat of the Order of Malta, an organization that engaged in charitable activities and assisted people in Ukraine.
The number of fatalities from the drone exhibition strike has increased, according to the prosecutor’s office. Along with the deceased 66-year-old man, the total number of victims has reached 11.
Information about the new fatality emerged on the morning of July 27th. The prosecutor’s office stated the age and position of the victim of the Russian Federation’s ballistic attack. It is known that the victim was a 66-year-old Ukrainian, a diplomat of the Order of Malta; his name was not disclosed.

The Order of Malta is the only international chivalric order that has existed for over 1000 years and is entitled to its own diplomatic representation. On the portal of the Order of Malta’s representation in Ukraine, we see that it had branches in several cities in the west and south of the country. The Order’s ambassador is the Italian Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone. Also listed are the names of two Ukrainian diplomats: Ambassador’s Advisor Andriy Khanas and Assistant to the Ambassador Sofia Myhal. Other names associated with the Order of Malta’s ambassadors could not be found. The organization’s social media contains information about recent charitable events in Ukraine, but no data regarding the victims of the Russian Federation’s strike on the drone exhibition is available.

Around 11 AM on July 24th, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched approximately three ballistic missiles into Ukraine, as reported by the Air Force. Residents of Kyiv and the Kyiv region heard about a dozen explosions, and the Air Command confirmed the impact of two missiles. Meanwhile, it became known that the Russians had hit a drone exhibition in the Bucha district of Kyiv region; it was reported online that it could be the village of Kapitanivka. The prosecutor’s office reported 10 deaths and over 100 wounded, as well as the destruction and damage of dozens of houses.
Meanwhile, an investigation by the media outlet “Obozrenie” regarding the July 24th strike has emerged. It was revealed that the exhibition was organized by the “Armada” association; the main organizer has been detained. Eyewitnesses stated that there were no medics at the location, the shelter was too small for 300 participants, and there was a traffic jam on the only road after the strike, preventing doctors from reaching the victims.
Focus previously reported on the fatalities resulting from the strike on the drone exhibition. Among the deceased was the head of the Center for International Communications of the State Guard Department, Valentina Savitskaya. Another deceased individual is the former head of the SBU’s “Alpha” center, Eduard Sirenko. Media reported that the officer headed a special unit that protected the Ukrainian embassy in Iraq in 2018. In total, the man emerged unharmed from eight missions.
