Україна в травні отримала медичну допомогу

The Ministry of Health talked about the medical humanitarian aid that Ukraine received in May 06/17/2026 18:18 Ukrinform Ukraine received further shipments of medical humanitarian aid totaling over UAH 188 million.

This was reported by the Ministry of Health, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“The provided resources are aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Ukrainian healthcare system, ensuring the continuity of patient treatment, supporting healthcare facilities, and developing emergency, inpatient, and preventive medical care,” the statement reads.

Specifically, Ukraine received medications for various therapeutic areas: antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial drugs, as well as supplies for emergency care and treatment of certain acute conditions.

A separate area of aid focuses on supporting the prevention of infectious diseases. In particular, UNICEF delivered vaccines against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis, and inactivated polio vaccine to Ukraine, which the country receives through cooperation under agreements between the Ministry of Health and GAVI. In total, within this support, Ukraine received over 18,000 vials of vaccines.

Partners also provided Ukraine with diagnostic tools for tuberculosis infection.

Furthermore, Ukrainian medical institutions received equipment, medical devices, and consumables necessary for ensuring adequate conditions for patient treatment and care. This includes resources for the operation of inpatient wards, conducting medical procedures, and protecting healthcare professionals.

A portion of the aid was also provided by partner governments. Specifically, Finland donated medications and medical devices, Austria provided medical devices for patient care, Norway supplied ambulances, Denmark contributed personal protective equipment for healthcare workers, and Poland delivered functional medical beds to enhance the material and technical base of Ukrainian hospitals.

As Ukrinform reported, in June, Ukraine received 111,000 doses of inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) and 72,000 doses of DTaP vaccine for vaccinating children against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis.
