Zelenskyy: Belarus still has time to dismantle equipment aiding Russians 20.06.2026 20:27 Ukrinform Belarus still has time to dismantle the repeaters being used to guide Russian strikes on Ukrainian settlements.
As Ukrinform reports, this was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address.
“Ukraine has repeatedly signaled that Russia’s involvement of Belarus in this war could lead to extremely dangerous consequences. In particular, we have documented that special equipment has been installed along our border on Belarusian territory, which operates for Russia, for Russians, and which helps Russians launch drone strikes against us, against our territory. We in Ukraine are aware of four such repeaters in Belarus, specifically in the Gomel and Brest regions. It was precisely thanks to such equipment that strikes were carried out against the Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn regions, against our energy infrastructure, against the railway – against ordinary cities, against our villages. Belarus has time to dismantle this equipment,” Zelenskyy noted.
The head of state emphasized that “we are also aware of every factory in Belarus that operates for Russia and works for its war. Every enterprise supplying components for Russian weapons – for armored vehicles, for missile systems – and also enterprises supplying fuel to Russia for the war – all of this constitutes Belarus’s involvement in the war. Ukraine does not want this, and we have warned the de facto leadership of Belarus, which influences relevant events.”
“Overall, in January-May alone, gasoline supplies from Belarus to Russia increased 13-fold compared to the same period last year, and diesel by three times. Unfortunately, this helps Russia adapt to pressure and does not bring peace closer. It should be the opposite: peace should be brought closer, and Belarus should do the things that its de facto leadership speaks about through unofficial channels, so that we in Ukraine truly see that Belarus is indeed against this, against this war,” the President remarked.
“This war must end. Peace is needed. I want to thank everyone who is with Ukraine! Thank you to all our people for their strength and pride, pride in being Ukrainian!” Zelenskyy stressed.
As Ukrinform reported, Zelenskyy gave Belarus a week to independently dismantle the repeaters located on the border.
