As Ukrinform reports, the SOF command announced this on Facebook.

“Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the SBU, and the HUR, successfully struck the Moscow Oil Refinery. A large-scale fire has been recorded at the oil refinery,” the message states.

As noted by the SOF, the Moscow Oil Refinery is of key importance for the Russian capital and the entire central region of the Russian Federation.

The plant’s design capacity is up to 12 million tons of oil per year. Processing depth is up to 85%. The refinery meets up to 40% of Moscow’s gasoline needs and about 50% of its diesel fuel needs.

This refinery is also an important element of aviation fuel logistics for the Moscow aviation hub.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that the refinery in the Moscow region was hit on the night of June 16.

According to preliminary information, the primary oil refining unit ELOU AVT-6 was damaged. A fire was recorded.

The Moscow Oil Refinery is involved in supplying the Russian army.

The enterprise’s products account for over 38% of the capital region’s fuel consumption, with the plant supplying aviation fuel to Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky airports. The enterprise’s processing capacity is over 12 million tons of oil per year.

In addition, Russian command and observation posts in the areas of Bahatyr, Velyka Novosilka, and Siversk in the Donetsk region were hit.

A strike was also carried out on an RF field artillery depot in the Kremenivka area of the Donetsk region, enemy logistics depots in Donetsk, and a UAV depot in Mariupol.

Ukrainian soldiers also struck concentrations of Russian personnel in the Ivanovsky district of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

A confirmed hit was recorded at a Russian military-industrial complex enterprise – JSC “Central Design Bureau for Apparatus Engineering” near Tula. It specializes in the development and production of radar systems and radionavigation equipment. The building and load-bearing structure of the assembly shop were damaged.

Furthermore, as of 6:00 AM on June 16, a fire continues on the territory of the federal state-owned budgetary institution “Kombinat Temp” in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, RF. The strike was carried out on June 14.

“Ukrainian long-range capabilities were felt this time in the Moscow region. An oil refinery 500 kilometers away was hit. I thank the warriors of the SBU, USF, SOF, HUR, and missile forces for their effective work,” noted the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He remarked that Russia must be compelled to end the war against our people, and Ukrainian long-range weapons are one of the important components of such coercion.

“This is a just response to Russian attacks and a response for prolonging the war, which needs to be ended,” the President said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the “Black Spark” insurgency movement in the Russian Federation, struck key elements of Russia’s oil transportation infrastructure – the “Palkino” oil pumping station in the Yaroslavl region.
